Industries, formerly The Witt Company, enjoys a rich, established
history in the steel waste receptacle manufacturing industry
dating back to 1887. It was founded as The Witt Cornice Company by
George Witt, who invented and patented the first corrugated,
galvanized ash can and lid in 1899.
In addition to the waste receptacle manufacturing and steel
fabricating business, Witt has been galvanizing for the
fabricating industry since the early 1920's. We operate three
plants; one in Cincinnati, Ohio and one each in Muncie, and
Plymouth, Indiana.
Witt Industries, Inc. was also recently identified as one of
the Top 500 Women-Owned Businesses in the U.S. by Working Women
magazine. The list ranked the nation's 500 largest women-owned
businesses based on revenue.
